Three
years ago, my dad and I were walking through the neighborhood
with the dogs and suddenly we saw a tiny black and white cat about five
or six weeks old in the middle of the road. The dogs went after him and
we quickly grabbed him before they could hurt him. We carried him home
so we could try to find a home for him. When we got home we realized
that he had a huge, infected gash on his stomach, so we took him to
the vet. They sewed it up and treated it and in a few days he was all
better. Then we tried to find a home for him. We put up signs, but
nobody called. We tried to give him to the local pet store but they
wouldn't take any black cats. Finally someone called, but they said
that we could have him because his cat had kittens and he didn't want
them! So he became My special Baby Boy.
Now he is large and lazy and affectionate. He loves to play in the
backyard and chase after things. If we touch the hairs on his feet, he
growls at us and runs away. He has a special blanket that he always
sleeps on and he lies in our foyer on the black and white marble
(probably because he matches it!). My whole family loves him very
much, even though my mom sometimes won't admit it! He is my best friend!
