These
are pictures of my son's cat Ripley. He is special in many ways, he
is very affectionate, adventurous and of course curious. He is the first
male cat we have ever owned and he doesn't spray, but he is the biggest of
the cats we have. He has a strange rolling meow, "rrrrrrrreow."
Ripley is very sweet, but mischievous. He loves to cuddle, but when he has
had enough, he has had enough. When we come home, he is waiting by the
garage door and he rubs on everyone's legs, and purrs waiting to be picked
up. After one of us picks him up and loves on him, he wants to get down
and have someone else pick him up. He is not afraid of strangers, people
or animals, and he gets along great with everyone. I say he is mischievous
because he will sometimes hide around a corner and when you come around,
he pounces on your feet then runs away. If you chase him he will chase you
back.
He makes the rounds at night, sleeping in all three of the bedrooms
alternately. He usually starts with my daughter (the first to go to
sleep), then my son's (the next to bed) then mine, but he is not set on a
particular routine.
The one game he loves to play, and he is better at it than our dog was, is
fetch. He loves to play with puff balls and when he wants to play fetch,
he will bring one to you and drop it on your feet. When you throw it he
will get it, bring it back and drop it at your feet again. We have gone 20
minutes this way once. When my son's dog died, we went to the Dumb Friends
League and picked out Ripley. He has made us all very happy.
