Blaze
has been a part of our family since eleven weeks of age. Since
arriving he has taken over the household. Blaze has an older sister,
her name is Dakota, she is a White Persian and is ten years old. Dakota
is not wild about her new brother, but tolerates him, he is always
walking up to her and the he "head butts" her, that's his hint to her,
"please clean my head." Dakota cleans his cheeks and forehead at least five
times a day ... I think she really does love him, she just doesn't want
mom and dad to see it!
Blaze has the most outgoing personality of any cat I have ever known.
He greets everyone as they arrive, if they do not acknowledge him, he
simply sits at their feet and paws at their legs until they take notice.
He talks to everyone, if you call his name he meows and it really
sounds like he is saying "what", he will continue to meow the entire
time it takes until he sees you. Blaze loves to sit at the patio doors
and watch for squirrels, bunnies and other neighborhood kitties. He also
perches on the railing for the same purpose, looking like a bear. Blaze
will also sit outside the bathroom door and put his paws under the door
and meow until you open the door and he can join you, he will stay with
you and keep you company. He also loves to jump on the bed and climb
you until he reaches your head, he will lay on your chest and purr and
drool for hours as long as you rub his forehead and neck, just stop and
that's it, he jumps down.
