Butters
full name is Buttersworth Bernard Bakersmen. Some of our
nicknames for him are "Buddy", "Baby Big Boy", "Teddy Graham", and "Bob
Newhart" because I think his attitude and dark, deepset eyes are like
Bob Newhart's. We adopted him two years ago from the Arlington Animal
Welfare League in Virginia. We wanted a kitty to keep our beloved
Patticakes (Bakersmen) company. When we met Butters, we knew he was the
perfect cat to complete our family. He's a total pushover!!
Butters is big-boned. He loves to eat. The second we stir in the
morning he thinks it is breakfast and will whine until you feed him or
he will play dead. The same thing happens in the afternoon. He eats so
fast sometimes he makes himself sick - maybe something in his past
convinced him that any food must be eaten ASAP, we'll never know. He is
also a big coward. He acts like a weather vane -- every time he hides, I
know thunder is coming. As you can see, he also like a nice, soft pile
of laundry to nap on, though I obviously "disturbed" him with the camera!
We love Butters very much. He is a very handsome cat and a great
companion to Patti, too!
