This
is a photo of our kitty Precious looking down on the world from our
upstairs deck. She was watching the hummingbirds whiz by, completely
fascinated. Isn't she a doll?
Precious loves water and will seek out and drink any water glass that is
put down. We attribute this to the Himalayan in her, as we have heard
of other Himalayans who like water. At night we have to cover the
glasses because she insists on drinking out of every single one!
Diabolical! She will only drink the freshest water. We suspect she
may be the kitty from the movie "Signs!" In any case, her name says it
all - bad habits aside, she simply is precious to us.
Precious is the true definition of a scaredy cat. She came from the
humane society. One day our family decided we needed a dog. We went in
to get a dog and came out with a kitty cat. Go figure! Anyway, when we
brought her home she was clearly freaked out by the whole shelter/new
family experience. She went and hid under the bed for ten whole days.
When she finally came out she was the sweetest cat ever, very loving and
appreciative.
Precious only eats dry cat food and loves those Temptations treats. She
will sit in front of me every morning and keeping rubbing me, jumping up
on my lap demanding attention until she gets those. Only then is she is
off to get in her eighteen hours of sleep for the day. Must be nice!
