Josie
lives with me and my other cat Oscar (bit of a shy boy) in Brantham,
Suffolk in England.
I am nominating her because in the last two years she has not left my
side, and even during the darkest days she was always there for a cuddle.
She and Oscar were my ex's cats when we moved in together, but since he
walked out I've been their care giver, and pre-Josie & Oscar I was a cat
novice. Over the last couple of years I think I've been trained and we
seem to be muddling along very well.
Josie is a very very friendly cat, the first time I met her she just came
and plonked herself on my lap and curled up. She seems to view anyone new
as "excellent! a new friend and someone to fuss me!!" The first night I
returned to the house after my ex left I was a bit upset, and she curled
up next to me in the bed and hasn't left yet. She's always there to
welcome me home, curl up next to me when I'm knitting in front of the
telly and any job I do, whether it's decorating, gardening, working on the
PC, or cooking she is never very far away.
It's not all angelic behavior - naturally!! We have had broken ornaments
(she's the clumsiest cat I have ever met) waking me up at 5 am and a dead
mouse in my favorite coat a few weeks ago, but her amazing character just
makes it impossible to stay cross with her for very long, if at all.
Needless to say I absolutely adore her (and Oscar) and hope that I can
give them both a happy, safe and secure life, and hope I have them for
several more years to come.
Josie certainly brightens my day every day.
