Pebble, the Cat of the Day
Name: Pebble
Age: Seven years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Persian
Home: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA

This is Pebble, she is a two-year-old Persian Cat. She is named Pebble because of the pebble-shaped spot on her left cheek. She is special because she is so cute. Although she is two years old, she still looks and acts like a kitten, and probably always will. She is very small but she purrs like a lion. She was a birthday present for my friend Al and he loves her dearly.

Although she is definitely a lap cat, she loves to ride in the car as well. We think she believes she is a puppy sometimes. We drive her around the local park and she puts her front feet on the windowsill and watches every little thing that passes by. She also loves to run around the house in the middle of the night with our other kitty, Thumper. They love to play and they get along great!

Pebble is so plump now she feels like a bowling ball, but she still runs around the house playing like a little kitten. She loves to get groomed and we love to groom our kitties. We use a seam ripper to gently pull the tough hairballs and then just brush them every single day. Persian cats are like toddlers. They just eat, sleep and play. Pebble likes to sit in the windowsill and watch the birds just outside the bedroom window. She is the second Persian cat that I have given Al. The first one was precious to him and he had her for 17 years. Pebble was a birthday present. I saw her picture on the internet on the website of the place that I adopted Thumper from. I knew at first glance that she was the right kitty just from the look in those big eyes, and that classic, chubby-cheeked face. She plays with little balls with jingle bells inside when she has to play alone. I think she will always have the temperament of a baby.

When we first got her she had been clipped and her fur was still very short. We put the sweater on her and she immediately felt like she was being cuddled. Now she is too fluffy for that but she liked the sweater at first. She has been the perfect addition to our family.
