It
took me half a second to fall in love with this sophisticated tuxedo
darling with an exclamation point coming down his nose. And for several
months now, the love story continues. His soft gaze wins me over even
when he opens faucets with his huge paws or when he eats dirt from
plants - and does he ever. Every night, he snuggles up to my neck and
massages my shoulder and hair until he falls asleep, his nose pressed
against my face. And if I'm really lucky, he hugs my neck with both arms
before snoozing off - I don't sleep, of course, enjoying every seconds
of heaven!
He and his sister Elizabeth came into my life a short while ago and
already, I can't imagine my days - or nights - without them. Mr. Darcy is
a more tamed version of my pretty feral girl, himself being so elegant
and sultry in his dressed up coat. Named after my favorite characters
from Jane Austen, I never would have thought they would resemble them
so much - the feisty and rebel Elizabeth and the composed and longing Mr.
Darcy. And do they ever make the perfect couple ... of cats!!
Mr. Darcy is the most loving, sweet, entertaining, peaceful and dearest
cat I have ever met - and I consider myself so lucky to have him around!
And to think it all started with a grammar text!
