About Us
Yosie, the Cat of the Day
Name: Yosie
Age: Five years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Grey Tabby
Home: Rockvale, Tennessee, USA

We have four pets - two cats and two dogs, and they have all been rescued. Yosie was very special in that one night I was going outside to the front of our house to check our sound level, as we have a band and we were rehearsing and didn't want to disturb anyone. So, in going outside to check, this teeny tiny little cat just walked up to me, not frightened or anything and leaned back on her back legs with her paws up indicating to pick her up. I'd never seen anything like that before. Of course I took her in and my hubby said "NO! We already have a long haired Russian female and a male buff cocker spaniel that we've rescued. We'll take her to a shelter tomorrow." So we set her in the bathroom overnight and when I awoke the next morning there was my husband at the end of our bed and that beautiful little kitty on his shoulder.

We took her to a vet and she was very malnourished and had a problem with her liner of her stomach. She would eat and it would immediately come out the other end within minutes. If we had not rescued her, she would have died they told us. She's always been tiny due to this reason. She's now been with us since 2002 and is a wonderful pet. She's very fun and loving and really loves to play, sneak around and attack you from behind, and loves to jump out at the dog and drive him crazy. It's very funny. We believe, like with all our pets, she was sent from above.
