Hi,
my name is Ralphie. The big human I call Dad says he named me after
a TV character called Ralph Kramden who was played by Jackie Gleason on
"The Honeymooners." I first met my new family when I was nine weeks old
and staying at the Humane Society. After a short time walking all over
and around them I fell asleep on Dad. That was all it took to get a
ride to my new house.
I found out then that I was not the only cat in this family. They also
had a fifteen-year-old black and white short hair named George. He's a lot
of fun to play with. I chase him around the house nipping him in the
hindquarters when I want him to play, but he keeps running away from me,
so I usually stop after a few minutes and find something else to keep me
entertained. I've gotten very good at running though the house and
jumping up on things I shouldn't, but it's fun!
The family likes it when I sit up on my hind legs, or carry one of the
big stuffed animals around to play with, and I also enjoy jumping up on
the railing over the stairs. Occasionally, I like pushing small things
off the desk in Mom's craft area to get her attention, but mostly I
really like it when they open the sun porch and I can lie around and
watch the birds that come over to get some food from the bird feeder.
