This
is Sweep, also known as Sweepie, he had a brother called Sooty who
sadly had to be put to sleep in January 2007 because he had FIV.
Sweepie misses Sooty but he does have another cat in our household to
beat up now - a big fat cat called Mouse!
Sweep is special because he and Sooty were abandoned when their previous
owner moved to Scotland. They used to live a few doors away from us. It
was strange, because even when I first saw them as kittens, I always
thought they would become mine, they started out being called Lolly and
Alex by their previous owner but we always referred to them as Sooty and
Sweep when ever they visited our garden. So when they came home to stay,
they already knew these names.
The only way we could tell them apart was that Sweep had one white
whisker, this later fell out but by then we knew their personalities and
could judge who was who!! Sweep has been a real comfort to me since
Sooty went to 'Rainbow Bridge', we reassure each other, he's a real baby
even though he's seven years old now. He's just such a sweet, special boy.
