Hi!
My name is Ben and I am a handsome white cat who has had quite a
year! Last spring, I was brought into the shelter by some people who
found me outside. I had had a rough winter, living outside in Ottawa
where the temperature regularly drops into the -30s. My ears were
blackened from frostbite and my coat was really hard for me to keep
white. I was very dirty and skinny. The nice people at the shelter
operated on my ears and took off the frostbitten tips. I was a bit
self-conscious.
One day a very pregnant woman came in and said she had seen me on the
internet. She came to get me and give me a forever home!!! I have shown
her since that day, last May, that I am very thankful. I like to sleep
on her lap while she nurses her little baby. This winter and every
winter to come, I have made a plan to sleep on a cozy bed and to not go
anywhere near the outdoors.
