Clio
is approximately eight years old (shelter adoption, so exact age
unknown). She is able to look comfortable no matter what she does, as
seen in this photo. Clio is a "people cat" who seeks out human
companions and always wants a person to cuddle up with. She tolerates
the presence of her housemate Chaos, but really warms up to anybody who
is willing to sit down on the sofa and will lick any exposed skin. She
has also figured out how to pull back the covers on the bed, get her
nose under, and tunnel in. That's where I find her most mornings.
She has learned to ignore even the most expensive cat toy. Her
preference is to knock over my office wastebasket at night and find
herself a nice balled-up piece of paper, which she will then carry
upstairs where I can hear her playing, and bat it all over the living
room floor, into the hallway and sometimes back down the stairs. In a
pinch, Clio can create a toy from anything, and seems to prefer things
that make noise. Soda bottles, socks, and even an old pair of ski
goggles have become "victims" to her search for new and different
playthings.
She loves watching the birds in the birdfeeder. It's a home theater for
her. Clio is quite vocal. The most vocal cat I've ever had. She makes
her demands known. We love Clio.
