This
sweet tabby boy is Larry. Larry was born in a cat rescue shelter. I
had recently adopted a kitten named Fremont and was looking for a playmate
for him. When I met Larry, he was the smallest cat in the place, scooting
around the place with all the other cats, and he was just so adorable I
knew he had to come home with me. He and Fremont bonded immediately and
they've been a team ever since. Larry is a small cat, only about eight pounds,
but he takes no guff from his much larger brother. His top priority is
food. He's very active, especially for an eleven-year old cat; he's a lean,
mean, playing machine. Don't let his sweet face fool you, though, there's
usually mischief brewing behind those green eyes. He's always on the
lookout for some fun and will antagonize the other cats just to get a game
started. He's as curious a cat as I've ever known, watching everything I
do and following me from room to room to make sure I'm not having fun
without him. He's fascinated by the toilet flushing and water running. He
loves birdwatching and his Video Catnip video. Last year I adopted a
kitten Tucker and Larry took to her immediately, which surprised me. Larry
is not a lap cat and tolerates being held only for a short time but he
loves to curl up next to me to be petted and he has a big purr for such a
little guy. As soon as I get up from the couch, he moves into the hot
seat, and will sit next to me and paw at my hip until I move over enough
for him to have the warm spot. He sleeps on a blanket at the foot of my
bed at night, and is the first to greet me when the alarm goes off in the
morning. I love this cat!
