I
got Charlie (a.k.a. Charles, Snugglebuns, Chars, Squeakypants) when he
was eight weeks old. He was my first cat (I've since got a second cat) and
he's still as playful now as when I first brought him home. He spends his
days looking out my patio window or napping on my bed. When the weather is
warm, I'll take him out to the porch on a leash where he settles down in
the flower bed and takes an interest in anyone who walks past the house.
He's not very picky with his toys. He loves anything he can swat across
the floor and chase after, and he loves his fuzzy ball on a string.
Charlie is by far the more social of my two cats - he'll greet anyone at
the door and roll onto his back for a belly rub. He loves to sit on my
legs on top of a blanket while I watch TV. Charlie wakes me up in the
morning by grabbing my toes underneath my duvet. For never having a cat
before, I know I'm very lucky to get one as friendly and easy-going as Charlie.
