About Us
Cole, the Cat of the Day
Name: Cole
Age: Five years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Gray Cat
Home: Bloomfield, Ontario, Canada

Cole is so special to us and we've only had him a short while. We adopted him from our local Humane Society shelter after the lady in charge told my husband about him. He was described as a Russian Blue, declawed, neutered and had a wonderful temperament. Now, I'd been dropping hints for about ten years how nice it would be to have a cat, but was always turned down. Thank goodness for good salespeople!

I didn't give my husband a chance to change his mind once he said yes to seeing him. I was able to get a carrier, litterbox and supplies all set up before he came home from work. Then we went to get our treasure. He was isolated from the group in a cage being a newer addition to the totally overcrowded premises. We scooped him up and he chattered all the way home and I named him right away; Cole. I knew he wasn't a pure bred Russian Blue at first sight, but didn't care in the least. This guy needed a home and we were willing to share our lives with him.

I would like to declare now that Cole is a true delight. Coles loves to help around the house. Here he is making the bed. You should see him training the dog. His kitty slaps are so fast I'd never catch a still shot! I love my Cole and hope this may inspire others to find their local shelter and give one of these homeless orphans a chance.
