Hi,
The photo you are looking at is our girl Mia. She was adopted at a no
kill shelter at the age of two. She had just had a litter of five. All
five kittens were adopted except for her. Mia was very skinny after her
birth but kept meowing at us when we went to her cage. My husband always
wanted a gray cat so she caught his eye, he stuck his head in the cage
and she "head butted" him. You can pretty much figure out the rest.
What makes Mia special is that when we adopted her the people at the
animal shelter told us that she was undernourished and will end up being a
sick cat. Knowing we can provide for her, we still decided to adopt her.
They gave us special food and she never wanted to eat it. We opened a
can of tuna in water and Whala! She loved it.
Today, she is very healthy and still loves tuna, people, and not to
mention loves to lay on the poker table while we are playing poker.
We recently rescued a feral cat and at first Mia wasn't going for it. Then
within time, she and her sister Destiny got along so well and continue to
do so. She teaches Destiny about life and about being a cat and that is
what is so great about her.
We recommend adopting. It is a great investment to the love in your home.
