My
husband and I adopted Mozart because we were looking for a "brother"
for our other cat Levi. Mozart was one year old at the time. Now he is
six. I could not decide on which kitty to take home so I let my husband
decide, and he picked this male orange Tabby. At that time, Mozart's
given name was Carrot. We wanted to give him a more sophisticated
name. So in the car, on the way home to his new home with us, we were
deciding on a new name for him. He cried in the paper box carrier
provided for us by the rescue foundation, but as soon as we turned on
classical music, he was quiet and became calm. So we then decided to
name him after a classical composer. It then felt appropriate to name
him Mozart.
Mozart is my most favorite because he lets me hug him all I want and
purrs to every moment of it. Once in a while, he does have a strange
habit of scratching up carpet fibers from his scratching post and then
eating them even though we make sure he has plenty of food at all times.
Thank goodness he remains healthy. He brings us great happiness.
