This
is Romeo. He and his sister Shelley were among the first litter I ever
fostered (over six years ago). Somehow, when I returned the litter to the
adoption center, it was two kittens short. Arrangements were made, and I was
able to adopt both him and Shelley, who by the way is the opposite of Romeo -
mostly white with black spots. They continue to get along wonderfully and
even sleep intertwined together in one small round cat bed.
Romeo is the 'man of the house' but don't let that fool you. He enjoys
Brookstone back massagers and can lay for hours on them (he needs to learn how
to turn them on himself, because he will continuously walk around the massager
meowing and brushing against it until I (momma) turn it on for him). He loves
long brushings, pedicures (trims only - no polish), and allows me to dress him
up... that is, as long as I will commit to allow him to lay on my lap while I
pet him continuously for hours!!!
At night, he waits below while we all climb the stairs, then makes one more
round through each room and comes up to join us. Yes, he is 'the man of the
house.' During the day, you can find him lying in the sun on the back of the
sofa, lazily watching the birds and the neighborhood goings on. Evening
is his lap time. Once fed, he expects limitless petting followed by a
'massage' (he's on his second Brookstone massager), then up to bed (after
giving his personal 'all clear').
He is definitely a 'ladies man' and a lover boy, as his name implies! I know I
love him!
