This
is Kirsten Killmouski. We adopted Kirsten from the Tuxedo Junction
Rescue when she was about a year old. She and her stepsister, Lulu, live
in peaceful co-existence, but often chase each other down the hall for
fun.
We found out from the veterinary clinic that Kirsten is a tortoiseshell
tabby - a torby. Spots of her fur gleam like copper when she lays in the
sun. We joke about her stripes being a costume because she has one small
colorful stripe across her white tummy that "holds on" her other stripes.
Kirsten is such a character. She tells us when her food bowl should be
replenished. She stands up on her back paws when she wants to be petted
and sleeps on her own down pillow on the bed. Because she is such a
character, she fits right in with the rest of the family.
Our household would be absolutely dull without her!
