Ragamuffin
is quite a boy. He has grown to be a humongous cat, nearly
thirteen pounds--and none of it is fat. He is full of personality. He will
not allow any door in the house to be closed; he will cry outside until it
is opened, or even begin to shake the door if his wish is not fulfilled.
He is extremely loving at all times, even towards strangers. He needs
attention, and is often times too big for one's lap! He has been known to
cry the second someone walks in the door, and demand affection. If you
delay for more than a few minutes, he will amplify his crying - just in
case you didn't hear him the first time. He also is quite the mooch; it is
really hard to keep food away from him. He has been known to drink from
other's glasses when they step away for a moment.
In his spare time (a.k.a. all day) he poses around the house, in fact,
there is a joke that he is constantly "posing for animal crackers."
This becomes particularly annoying when he does his lounging in the
middle of the busy kitchen floor, and absolutely refuses to move, no
matter how many are trying to prepare dinner. Nighttime is often "attack
time," and guests must be careful when they get up in the middle of the
night for a glass of water. Ragamuffin will literally battle cry as he
attaches himself to their leg, then he'll run away through the house at
top speed.
This huge bundle of love is honestly the cat with the most personality
that many have ever met. Many have dubbed him, "Sir Raggy," as he is a
delight to all.
