Out
of the blue, this adorable little kitten walked up to our door one
night and refused to leave. He meowed very loudly at our front door.
When that didn't work, he walked around to our back window, and meowed
even louder until we let him in. Little did my wife and I know that we
would be letting this little stray kitten into our home and our hearts.
Right away, Chococat seemed perfectly at home, and he wasn't the least
bit timid about jumping up on our sofa with us or falling asleep on our
bed. It was as if he had lived in our home all his life and he made it
pretty clear that he wanted to stay.
We checked with the local Humane Society to see if he had a tracking
chip and to see if anyone had filed any lost cat reports, and both came
up negative. Chococat plays really rough (lots of biting and
scratching), so we weren't sure if he would be considered adoptable so
we took him back home with us, and he's been biting and scratching us
(affectionately) ever since.
Chococat can be really bossy, and stubborn, but he is also very sweet.
He loves to groom us and he sleeps curled up in my arm every night. He's
a little jealous of my wife, and always tries to find a way to wiggle
his way in between us if we're sitting too close on the sofa.
It's as if the kitty-stork delivered us the most perfect cat in the
world... we are all very thankful and happy he chose us.
