My
cat's name is Kitty Cat. My daughter called me one day from college
(Albany, OR), said she found a kitty out in the pasture abandoned. She
brought it home (it fit in the palm of my hand, maybe two weeks old). He
is now one year old. I think he is a Tabby. I noticed he had six toes, and
a tail that had five kinks in it. I told her to find him a home by the
next day, and that I didn't have time for a kitty. So she brought him
home. He was ice cold, and starved. We warmed up milk, and put some hot
water bottles in a shoe box with him to keep him warm. So for the next
week, I replaced the hot water bottles in a shoe box all day and night,
warmed milk for him and fell in love. I'd hold him in clothing next to me.
He knew me now as him Mom. He learned to use the litter box, and how to
drink his kitty formula.
He came to me in a time when I did need him, not knowing I did. Empy nest
syndrome meets its cure. He comes when I call him, and likes to sit at the
counter while I work on the computer. He likes to have his soft food
still. He always hears my husband coming home in his loud truck. He jumps
up and runs to the door and waits for him to come in. Long story short, he
is the best companion I could ever ask for.
