We
found Hoot through a notice that was taped to a phone booth. The lady who
put the notice up had found him wandering alone on Gellert Hill, a famous
landmark in Budapest. She was so concerned that he find a good home she even
made us sign a receipt for him. She made us promise to give him back to her
if things didn't work out, but there was never any danger of that! Hoot was
very friendly and immediately made himself at home in our flat. He is very
fierce and thinks he is much larger than he really is. His favorite pastimes
are chasing a balled-up paper towel and attacking our ankles. He's a little
ball of fire and has two speeds: full blast and dead stop. As you can see in
the photo, he likes to work on the computer. He surfed to the Cat of the Day
page all by himself, so we thought we should send in his picture, too. We
love to watch him play. He is a hoot!
