I
found Cooper August 25th at 7:30pm in the industrial parking lot next door
where there are never any cats. He was under a tree crying and had apparently
just been "dropped off" by someone who didn't want him. He was about five months
old at the time, and had probably never been alone.
My girlfriend and I immediately took him home and he was so scared he peed
down my shirt during the elevator ride. He met my other two cats Prrrl and
Chloe, ate a ton of food and went to sleep. He is a terrific little guy, very
funny and vocal. My other cats really like him even though he initiates
playtime more than they might like. He's not a "lap cat" but will tolerate
being held as he stares lovingly at me and then at the ceiling. He is fond of
chewing on my wrist and licking my hand. His first word was "ernenger" but
only he knows what that means!
He loves his laser pointer, tummy rubs and chasing snacks. In the sunlight his
coat is a shimmering sliver-blue, his eyes are amber on the outside and green
in the middle. He has tufts of hair between his toes and little tufts on the
tips of his ears. Why anyone could abandon such a sweet little fellow remains
a mystery.
Needless to say he is very popular with everyone he meets. The first photo is
Cooper the day after his rescue, you can see the intensity in his face. He is
really happy to be here in my studio and is quite the character. Coop remains
the sweetest li'l man.
