This
is Sox. She is a Persian-Himalayan. Usually, she is a fluffy cat, but
this picture was taken on the day she was groomed. Her face is always
looking grumpy, though, no matter what. I really don't blame her for being
grumpy. She lived with a family for fifteen years before they decided to
give her up. I volunteer at the Humane Society of Huron Valley and saw her
sitting all thin and sad in a cage. It was love at first sight, even
though some would say she has a face only a mother could love. But love
her I do.
She may be old, but Sox is a tough old girl. If one of the three other cats I
have pick on her, she smacks them back. She can run and jump and kiss (and
bite occasionally), but it makes her only more lovable. I recently lost my
husband. Sox's snoring in my bed at night comforts me. Sox, with her funny
face, has made me so happy. I hope she lives a long, long time. I have also
included a picture of Sox in her full glory. Her fur is like cotton candy
and, occasionally, she is just as sweet as it is, too.
