Raisin
is the youngest of three cats my family owns, she's very special to
us because a family that I baby sit for had three litters of kittens. One was
born May 6, one May 7, and then the last on May 10th. They offered me one
of the kittens, which were only about three weeks old at the time. I had to
compromise with my mom, and finally, after weeks of nagging, and begging,
she finally gave in. We got to bring Raisin home when she was seven weeks old.
We already had two other cats, and Raisin took a liking to the larger,
more friendly of the two. Raisin would then - and still does - chase
Smokey, my other cat, around all the time.
Raisin's the baby of the family, she's spoiled, and gets what she wants.
We treat her just like a little kid. She loves ice cream, she could eat it
all day long if only we would let her. Every time I eat ice cream, she'll
sniff it out, and climb up to where ever I'm sitting and try to share the
icy cold treat with me.
Raisin also loves chocolate, every time someone has anything with
chocolate in it, she'll be climbing up the table, or sitting in their lap
trying to get some. We try to tell her chocolate is not cat food, she's
supposed to be a predator, but that never stops her from trying!
I know Raisin really has no special significance to the rest of the world,
I just believe that she is one of the best, and cutest kittens in the
whole wide world, and I think she should be honored.
