Hello,
my name is Summer!
My "mom" is a veterinary technician and was just waiting for the right
kitten to come along. My real mom was a stray and was brought in to be
spayed when they found she was pregnant. Instead of carrying out the
surgery, her new owner kept her and let her have her kittens first. My
new mom took me home when I was just eight weeks old. At first I missed my
littermates, but then I realized I was queen of my new home! I have the
whole place to myself, except for my big fish tank that I supervise
every day, and my two gerbil friends as well!
My favorite thing in the entire world is water. I know, most cats hate
it, but I just don't understand why! I love being right in the shower
with mom, and can't wait until she's done at a sink so I can play with
the water droplets that are left over. My mom even had to buy a stand for
my water bowl because I kept tipping it so I could play in all the water.
If I'm not playing with water somehow, I'm playing with all my toys,
which I sometimes arrange in a pile once I'm done with them. I also love
meowing, grunting, and chirping - all of my noises mean different things
and my mom knows them all! I get especially vocal if it's dinner time,
or if there's a squirrel or bird outside my window. I also love bossing
around my grandma's 60-pound dogs and cornering them in rooms. It's so
fun! Little do they know I would never even hurt them - I just feel like
part of the gang!
I'm not a huge fan of cuddling - there's no time in between playing with
water and my toys! However, I do spare five minutes of pure affection when
my mom comes home - I wait by the window for her every night and meow
until she comes inside to give me my hugs and kisses. I also have my five
minutes of cuddling each morning when my mom's alarm goes off - I make
sure she wakes up to pet me by touching her face with my paws until she
starts moving!
Well, that's enough about me. You can tell I'm one unique cat with a
huge personality, and that my mom adores me!
