I
would like to nominate my kitten Stuey. Stuey is only ten months old, a
domestic semi-long haired bundle of joy.
What makes Stuey so special and dear to us is because he came into our
lives when we were losing our beloved Gizmo to renal failure. He appeared
as a clump of dirt in the driveway across the road from us, or so we
thought. Later that day the clump was gone, but here coming across the
yard was this kitten, scared, hungry and so small that his head was the
largest part of his body. I scooped him into one hand and felt his little
body just relax with joy. So we fed him and bathed him and took him into
our hearts. Even though we already had three indoor and six barn cats, we
felt he was coming here for a reason. Sadly Gizmo only had two months with
his new little brother before he passed. But Stuey has so many of Gizzie's
actions and habits it is scary. He has filled a deep void in our hearts
and for this there are no words.
