D.J. is an extraordinarily beautiful cat (as you can see from his
pictures), as well as being sweet, playful, talkative, and kind of bossy
to the other cats in the household! His fur shimmers like gold in the
sunlight, and his almond-shaped eyes are an enchanting lime green. He
loves to talk. His favorite pastime is rolling around in the shower on his
back! He's forever flexing his paws, almost like he's kneading the air.
Sometimes he'll grab your face between his two front white mitts and give
your chin a love nip! He also loves napping on top of a stack of paper bags.
D.J. got his initials from four sources: 1) the "D" is in honor of
red-haired actor Danny Kaye, 2) the "J" is for "Julius," as in a famous
NYC drink called an "Orange Julius", 3) "D.J." is also an homage to our
favorite Yankee, Derek Jeter, plus 4) we love music, so "D.J." is
appropriate to a home where a lot of records are being played.
D.J. was rescued as a stray kitten from a bad neighborhood in Brooklyn,
but now he's a Manhattan cat and enjoying every moment!
