The
story of when I got Pippin all began when I was visiting a friend's house
and she had found a kitten in a bush nearby her house (on a small island off
the coast of British Columbia). I right away fell in love with the kitten and
right away wanted one of my own.
The following day, my friend and I went out searching to see if any other
kittens from the litter were around. A long day of searching went by, no luck.
We were just about to give up, but the next day I decided I would give it one
last try. As we were walking up the drive way, we saw a pile of scrap wood. I
decided that I might as well look behind it. Lucky I did, right behind it we
saw two kittens! One a chubby all black cat and one, Pippin, a small tabby cat.
Nowadays, Pippin can be found almost anywhere! We often get calls from
neighbors reporting Pippin sleeping in their bedroom, eating in their kitchen
or sitting in their car. He can also be found by his food tray, he definitely
enjoys eating - a lot! And sometimes he can be found climbing up the bug
screen on the sliding screen door.
Pippin still has kept many of his wild ways such as going anywhere he pleases
(neighbors' houses, cars - never under, but inside if they leave the windows
open and sheds) and play fighting with my other cats and he is also outside a
quite a bit. He isn't the small kitten he was when I first found him, that's
for sure. But he is still the cute cat that I immediately fell in love with.
