Here
is my cat Oliver dressed in his Halloween outfit, getting ready for the
day. Oliver is a BluePoint Siamese. He just turned eleven years old on Sept. 18.
Oliver has been dealing with a very serious illness. He had a mass cell tumor
on his lower eyelid. This was discovered in 2004. He went through months of
Chemo, and finally surgery, in which they were able to save his eye. He did
very well until a year ago this last August, when the tumor came back. He was
put back on Chemo for eight months, and didn't respond as his doctor was hoping,
so I had to make the decision to have him go through surgery again, where this
time he would lose his eye. He had the surgery on July 1, 2009.
He is now doing great. He has adjusted so well. He is enjoying going for walks
with me, and all the things he used to do before the surgery. He celebrated
his birthday with a party, in which he had a cake, gifts, and friends to help
him celebrate his special day. Oliver is the most loving companion, I have
ever lived with. He always looks at me with love in his eye and a song to
sing. He is my angel kitty. He is from Union Maine and lives with me, his Mom,
Zettie, and also his brothers and sisters. He enjoy dressing for special
occasions. Here he is as a pumpkin. I thought perhaps people would
be interested in his story.
