We
had lost our other cat and after a period of mourning we went to the local
shelter to look around. Homeboy reached out of his cage and grabbed my shirt
with a claw. He picked us. He had a HBC marked on the door. I thought this
was a breed. They told us it meant "Hit By Car." Homeboy is always a HBC cat
to us.
Homeboy can be a bit standoffish to strangers. When we have company, he is
nowhere to be seen. Once he knows you though, he is a really cozy cat and
often sleeps on my chest (I don't get much sleep like this, though.)
One strange thing about Homeboy is that he likes to get on our roof and watch
the world go by. Unfortunately, he can't figure out how to get back down. He
ends up waiting until we let him in a second-story window. I guess he's got us
well trained!
