This
is Celie (named for "Sealy", because she was born under my mattress!)
What's special is that she is an only child, born of a mother who is a tamed
feral cat and not much more than a kitten herself. She may be the world's
cutest kitten - at least I think so!
She's just a normal kitten. She loves to explore, sniff, taste, see
everything and run. Today, for the first time, she went outside for a while
(with me and her mother, of course) and she loved to snoop through the grass.
She likes to cuddle up with me in the Lazy Boy when I take a nap.
She's a wonderful climber - she could climb before she could walk. She went
part way up a tree this afternoon outside. When she wants to go back to bed,
she climbs back into her cardboard box, and her mother follows suit.
Mom is a former feral cat who couldn't be approached until I gradually tamed
her. Then, a week before the birth, it was like a switch was thrown, and mom
was butting and rubbing. She must have known that this old man would be nice
to her and her coming family.
