My
name is Little Bear, but you can call me Your Majesty. My humans also
sometimes call me Buster, especially when I get into trouble (that's their
opinion only, of course). I live with my human mom and dad, as well as a
feline sister named Jasmine, although we had a huge fight a few years ago and
can't seem to make up, so we are kept apart. I really like to show off
my magnificence when my humans have guests over, and strut around with my tail
up in the air and all fluffed out. Everyone says I look like a little lion.
Little Bear is one of the most affectionate cats I've ever known. He loves to
be held (all 16 pounds of him) and kissed, and head-butts us frequently. At
night he sleeps in between my husband and me. His breeder said he wouldn't be
a lap cat, but we have lots of chuckles at her expense whenever he (very
often) sits on our laps. He's an indoor cat, but loves to watch the birds
from the windows (although he was terrified when he saw a wild turkey - so
much for being a little lion).
Speaking of wild turkeys, the first time Little Bear saw a wild turkey (a few
years back) he was so frightened that he hid under the bed. There's a mirror
behind his dishes, and his own reflection spooked him so he wouldn't go near
his food or water. I had to carry him around for 10-15 minutes before he was
no longer afraid of his reflection! :-) Now he's used to seeing them and
isn't frightened by them.
We absolutely love Little Bear and are so glad that he came to live with us.
