This
is Chipper, a one-year-old female, who was a former feral cat. She came to us when
she was 3 1/2 months old and had fallen into our wood chipper. Of course, the wood
chipper was not running and of course, we had to name her Chipper. She has a lot of
Maine Coon characteristics and is a very affectionate and communicative cat. She
"chirps" and purrs all day. She lets you know exactly what she wants. It's amazing how
well Chipper has adapted to being an indoor-only cat. She loves to harass our older cat,
watch television, destroy toy mice, greet visitors and sleep not near me, but on me! Her
favorite activity is anything interactive, like the feather toy and running through a
crinkle-tube! She seems very happy with her humans and living in a new safe place, free
of predators and inclement weather. She such a character! We're very happy to have her.
