I
was at a cat show with a friend and the Humane Society was there with
some of their cats. I briefly looked at them and then went on my way. Later
during the cat show's lunch break, the Humane Society was able to use one
of the judging rings to talk about their cats. When I saw Sky, formerly
known as Herman, I thought that he looked very interesting. His fur had
been matted so he had a lion cut but his face was also trimmed. He also had
the biggest sky blue eyes.
A man seemed to be very interested in him so I was very glad to see this.
Later they announced that one of the cats had been adopted. I didn't catch
the name so I went over to find out which one it was. It was a tuxedo male
named Jackson so Sky was still there. I inquired about him and they let me
hold him. Well that was all it took. I was in love. I adopted him and I
decided to name him Sky after his beautiful eyes. He was such a good boy
and he didn't even cry during the car ride home.
It took his fur several months to grow out and now he's a very fluffy long
haired cat. He has a very outgoing personality and loves people. I call him
my kitty/dog. He fit in very well with my other cats and he's been a
wonderful addition to my family. He has the cutest little raspy voice. I'm
so glad that I met him at the cat show that day. I love him very much.
