This
is Rhiannon, she is an Abyssinian mix dilute tortie. Rhiannon is a one
of a kind girl. She was adopted from a pet store which works in tandem with a
private kitty rescue group at nine to ten months. She was previously at an inner
city pound where she was languishing before her rescue. She seemed so docile
and sweet in her cage at the store, my heart went out to her and I
anticipated her being a gentling influence for my other two, another Tortie,
Bodicea, and male white short hair Merlin. NOT!
Rhiannon's addition to our group has been something like bringing home the
Tasmanian devil! She is a big personality. Knows her new name and always
comes when called, leaps around from furniture to furniture, runs up and down
the condo stairs at the speed of light and is Queen of the feline ambush with
her two adopted siblings. She loves her Mom big time and wakes her up each
morning with head butts, loud purring, snuggles under the covers and strong
pawed kneading. Long story short, she is anything but docile since adjusted
to her new home. She brings great energy and joy to us all though and has
assumed her 'alpha' role with determination within our 'Celtic fur clan'
(Merlin, Bodicea (Cea), and now Rhiannon).
