Hi!
My name is Pearl and yes I am a little boy! I am the family trouble
maker. I race all through the house. I am the family trouble maker in that
I chase my "brothers" Whiskers who is almost twenty years old, and Rusty who
is quite large, all around. I am the family trouble maker, maybe that's
why I have to have a bell on my collar? It doesn't weigh me down, though.
Mommy and Daddy rescued me when some kids were going to throw me in a
ditch and watch me drown. That was back when we lived in San Antonio.
I am told that I am the best little boy they ever had. And I am the cutest
little guy they have ever had. Mommy and Daddy took me in when I was a
tiny baby kitten who fit in their hands and I don't know anyone but Mommy
and Daddy. I know they love me very much because they give me and my
brothers treats all the time. I am the family trouble maker - if things
are knocked off shelves and tables, Mommy and Daddy know I did it. I like
climbing into things, boxes, anything will do. Well, that's my story! Did
I mention that I am the family trouble maker! I am also the cutest one in
the family, so I get away with it!
Pearl is seven years old, as close as we can tell he was born in June. He runs
to the refrigerator every time we open the door because he wants either
sandwich meat or chicken. I have a special "noise" that I make that brings
him running. It is "nitnitnitnit!" He likes to paw through trash cans and
look out the window and watch birds. He chases birds from one end of the
house to the other. Of course he is inside and they are outside! He
absolutely loves to sit on the floor, put his behind up in the air and
have his daddy "bounce his tail" - a very loving ritual between the two of
them. Pearl is very affectionate and loves to be held and talked to. And
last but not least, he is totally afraid of the garbage trucks that go by
our house! He runs and hides the minute he hears them! And did I mention
he is the family trouble maker!?
