This
is my Cali. She came to me at just five weeks old after mom abandoned
her and her siblings. She decided to stake her claim in my home and has
been here ever since.
For something so small she has the biggest personality of all of my pets.
She expects all humans to immediately pet her as soon as you sit down. If
you don't she puts her paws on your chest and meows until you do.
She also refuses to use her litter box if anyone is in the room. I have
actually had to deem a small closet as Cali's bathroom where her litter
box sits.
She is very food motivated. You can get her to do almost anything for a
treat. At just ten weeks old she comes to her name, stays, sits, shakes
and will go find the toy. She is very smart which has proven to be good
for her bad for me after watching me put food in the fridge she somehow
taught herself how to open it resulting in me coming home to food all
throughout my house, and half-eaten cooked chicken.
Her favorite toy of all time is a sock and a cardboard box. You can spend
a ton of money on high quality toys and playhouses she won't even bat an
eye at them. But bring in a box or throw a sock at her and she is the
happiest cat on earth.
Cali has brought a much needed silliness into my home.
