I
would like to introduce to you our cat Maycee. She is what we call our
"Katrina Kitty." During the devastation of that area, our local SPCA
gladly took in about 100 cats and kittens that were stranded, left
homeless or injured. We went to help them where we could and fell in love
with a little kitten now named Maycee. Maycee has some breed in her we are
not sure of - could be Maine Coon, she has huge legs and paws, but her
body is quite small.
She has the attitude of a very confidant cat. She knows what she wants,
and how to get it from her humans. She is the only female feline in the
house so she pretty much rules the "boys," her brothers Mork, Murfee and
Mickee. For some reason though she doesn't quite understand why they are
all Orange colored and she is Gray. Maycee must get her treats in the
morning when Dad is pouring his coffee, if she doesn't the whole house
knows about it. She most assuredly was a Massage Therapist in her previous
life, because loves to massage your legs, problem is they better be
covered when she is ready as those little nails hurt. She is a love and we
cannot imagine what she went through during Katrina. We thank goodness she
found her way to Florida, where she can enjoy the sun from inside the
safety of her home.
