About Us
Charlie, the Cat of the Day
Name: Charlie
Age: Eight years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Shorthaired Gray Tabby
Home: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Charlie is the kind of cat everyone wants, as a kitten he was abandoned by his Mother and left under cold and dark porch. The lady who originally owned him was moving away and could not take him with her. Once we saw his adoring face we just couldn't say no, the way his eyes twinkled how could anyone say no? His brother at the time (Fluffy) was living with us once they sat eyes on each other they became inseparable. One would sleep in the bathroom sink and the other in my bed about two years later Fluffy died. This was a tragic moment but we still had Charlie, and I believe he survived the cold and the abandonment to show us all that life is delicate and you only have one chance at it. There is no other way I could have got that message so strong and meaningful without him.

Charlie is a very special cat he does a number of things throughout the day that makes me laugh so hard. At bed time he is treated like a king. He gets first dibs in the bed, if that isn't enough Charlie has to get right on top of you cutting off all possible circulation. Of course then he has to start snoring keeping me up all night Finally when he gets up to get a drink his body just flops to the ground and starts lapping all the water up.

I am so lucky and fortunate to have a cat like Charlie I don't know what I would have done without Charlie. I love you so much Charlie!
