Hello,
My name is Kami, I answer to Kitty when I want to. My Mommy and Daddy
wanted a kitten to be part of their life after spending many years without a
cat in their lives. I met my new parents when I was very young. I think my
Dad looked at my calico coat and decided he would really like to take me home
and. Mom thought I was cute and I would be the answer to her dreams.
I had a lot to learn at first. I had to be taught not to
climb the new curtains, and not to drown myself in the toilet, and of course
not to run down into the basement. I am a house cat because I'm told there
are coyotes and hawks outside and they might want me for their lunch. I've
been outside a couple of times, but was I ever glad to get back inside. My
Dad told me all about those fleas that would get on me and I didn't want any
part of that.
I enjoy Dad combing me every morning to start my day and
then it's time to go to the bathroom sink for water. I have three water
bowls, but I like fresh running water the best. My next stop is out to the
breezeway to check outside for any chipmunks who have stopped by for a visit.
Sometimes I sit on the windowsill for a long time while my friends sit on the
other side of the window looking in at me. At night I have deer stop by to
look in on me while I sit on the window sill when the lights are off.
My parents are amazed how strong I am because I exercise
very little other than playing ball with them by swatting ping pong balls
down the hallway. My favorite pass time is to sleep or the folks think I am
sleeping. I show them I can easily jump from the floor up on to my five foot
high tower just to remind them exercise isn't necessary for my strength.
My parents love me a lot and I get more than my share of
kisses and attention during the day. I like it so much I try to keep them up
till after midnight every day.
Kami is our sweet little girl who has never scratched or
bitten us. She has a beautiful personality, unlike any other cat we have had.
She's a doll.
