Here
is Spicy or Spicemeister as we love to call her. She adopted us five years
ago when we moved here from Langley B.C. She came with the house and made it
quite clear that she was hungry. She was so skinny and forlorn. We fed her
every day and canvassed the neighborhood but no one seemed to know anything
about her. She has never been far away ever since.
She is no longer feral and allows my husband and I to pet her and feed her
catnip. She has suffered the indignity of two trips to the vet and is now mite
and mange and flea free! She trots beside us all the way to the mail box when
she wants to go for a walk. She will not come inside in the summer at all,but
in the winter she has her own room and bed and litter and refuses to go out
if it's snowing. She loves to sunbathe and she is so sweet she has brought us
three large rats as a present. She likes crows and lets them eat her cat food and
squirrels can come within inches of her and eat peanuts and she won't bat an
eyelash. She cannot tolerate our housecat Mia and has barely refrained from
assaulting her almost every chance she gets. We must keep them separated at
all times! We love her intensly and although she will always be a rogue we
love her exactly the way she is.
