I
would like to nominate our cat Milo to be cat of the day. He is a brown
tabby, was born about November 2007, and lives in St. Paul, Minnesota
USA.
This is Milo, who joined us in February 2010, two
months after our dear boy Rufus passed away suddenly and unexpectedly
from heart failure. Milo was found wandering around outside on a cold day
in December 2008, and as a result had a bit of frostbite on his right
ear. Stray Cat Rescue Associates of Minnesota (SCRAM)
took him in and cared for him for over a year.
At first Milo was quite shy and spend a lot of time in
the rafters above the laundry room where I suppose he felt safe. However,
it didn't take him long to attach himself to us. Now he is the most
affectionate companion who craves attention. He sleeps with me every
night with his head on the pillow, purring loudly in my face until he
falls asleep and then he often snores a little bit. Whenever we sit down
to watch TV or read, he is on my lap and snoozing away within minutes. As
far as activity goes, Milo loves chasing his laser light and looking out
the window from his cat tree. He also seems fascinated by books we check
out from the library (they probably have a variety of smells that only
cats can detect), and he loves flying into pillow cases as we hold them
open. Of course, he also demands his daily dose of catnip. Milo is
basically my constant companion, following me from room to room.
Milo is a wonderful companion, and we love him very much.
