Well,
my Father brought Pochito here from Peru. Once I heard about it, I
ran home from school to see Pochito. I thought it would be big and
beautiful, but when I saw it, its like a little thing jumping around. -
the cutest kitten in the world. I owned another cat named Mikey, Mikey and
Pochito bonded so quickly that Pochito thought Mikey was his father.
Pochito was always playing with Mikey while he was sleeping. When they
were bored they would jump around and go crazy all around the apartment.
They had patience with each other when it came to food, and using the
litter box. That lasted over a year, then Mikey passed away due to liver
cancer. It affected Pochito a lot, I could tell just by the way he stared
at Mikey's picture that I have in my room.
On the other hand, a year had passed and Pochito started getting bigger
and crazier than we would ever imagine. Every day, including the weekends,
Pochito will wake us up one by one like around 6 o' clock, so there is no
reason for us to have an alarm because Pochito will jump on our beds and
yell at our ears. The way he sleeps is the best thing about him, because
Pochito doesn't care when it comes to sleeping, he'll sleep between your
legs and when I want to get up, I tell him "I need to get up, Pochito" and
Pochito gives me the baby face! No one can resist that, so this wise guy
here has it all! He'll sleep with his legs wide open and his paws out, and
if anybody is sitting next to him or bothering him he'll kick you out with
his small paws - you'll feel a little push then more pushing until you're
off his territory.
Pochito darn right understands when we talk to him! He listens so clearly
that he does what we ask him to do, even though he has his moments of
breaking the rules, he still behaves, but talks back at us. Whenever I ask
for a high five when he does something right, he'll give it to me. Every
single time someone knocks on the door, Pochito stands in the middle just
to say hello and then goodbye. Pochito is very nice to visitors he gets
friendly with, starts sniffing them everywhere then gets comfortable
between their legs. When it's time for dinner we have to add another chair
for Pochito to sit down and join us. Yes Pochito eats with us and if he
doesn't like it he gives a bad stare to my mother. What else doesn't he
do?
There are some nights that he sleeps with my parents in between my mom and
dad, but always ends up sleeping with me. Sometimes I'll wake up face to
face with him, or he'll be rolled up in a ball on my pillow, and sometimes
I wonder how I ended up somewhere else. We had him neutered and the
operation hasn't changed him at all. He still the same crazy guy he has
been since he was a kitten.
Oh and I am his best friend, and only one he gets lovey dovey with, his
favorite owner, Janeth.
