We
adopted Chance from the SPCA when he was just about twelve weeks old. Or I
should say, he adopted us. As my husband was walking through the cat
adoption room, he stuck his little paw out of the cage and nabbed him. We
saw that someone had brought him in and he was named Bruiser... not a
fitting name for this sweet kitty. We went out to do the paperwork and one
of the staff came out of the cat room and said "I hope someone is taking
Bruiser home because he is just beside himself and won't stop meowing!" Of
course we took him home!
Chance is the most loving and affectionate cat we have (we have six). He is
a real chatter box too, talks ALL the time. He loves to play with his
brothers and sisters, and he loves to lay on my lap. He is by far the most
sensitive cat we have ever had. When I clip his nails he just goes limp
and gives me a "sorry mommy" look as if he did something wrong. He loves a
sunny window, a box, or a newspaper on someone's lap. We named him Chance,
or The Chancellor, because he is clearly the speaker of the house, and he
got a second "Chance" with us.
