I
found out about Ziggy Stardust from another member of a forum that I
belong to called Pet Talk. I had already adopted Pearl from them the year
before. Ziggy Stardust and her brother had been dumped in a feral cat park
in Arizona. I had never seen a cat that looked like her before. I've seen
odd-eyed cats before but they've always been all white. She also reminded
me of how my beloved cat Sky must've looked as a kitten. I already had five
cats at the time but I couldn't stop thinking about her.
I decided to adopt her so I flew to Arizona and I stayed with her foster
parents for a few days. I then flew home with her. I also decided to keep
her name. It took her a few years to really come out of her shell and be a
part of the family. She went from being a loner to being a big mama's
girl. Now she demands to be petted and loves her scritches. She used to be
a tiny, skinny kitten but now she's grown into a huge cat that weighs a
little over fourteen pounds. Her eyes mesmerize me and I love her very much.
