Ramey's
story begins while still in his mother's tummy. His mother was a
stray found on the streets of Juffair in Bahrain. She was severely
malnourished and fearful of most people due to the daily abuse from the
nation's populace. (People there are not kind to strays.) My friend had
been trying to catch her for over two weeks, ever since he noticed she was
pregnant. Then, finally (Mama, she is now named) decided to trust my
friend and allow him to pick her up and take her home with him. Soon after
she gave birth to three kittens, one of them Ramey! My friend Linda fosters
the mother and kittens, who are now eight months old and healthy. Two of the
kittens have homes, one is still awaiting his furever home. I am just
thankful I have little Ramey in my life and that he and his siblings have
been saved from a very hard (and often short) life on the streets. :)
Ramey loves his scratching post, lounging on the couch, and playing with
his millions of toys. He is a silly kitty who chases anything that moves,
including my feet! Ramey is a true loverboy. When I'm home he loves to
play with his toys, and snuggle. Even when doing chores around the house
he will follow me into every room, and if I sit down he will jump into my
lap and demand attention. lol. He is very affectionate, but shy with
strangers. When I first brought him home he took two days to fully warm up
to me. He still runs and hides when friends visit. He doesn't know any
tricks yet, but I am trying to teach him fetch. lol
