I
had lost two of my six cats and I wasn't going to adopt any more. Losing
my orange boy Sunny left a huge hole in my heart. I realized, almost five
months later, that I needed another orange male cat in my life. I saw an
ad in the Pennysaver for an orange male kitten but by the time I decided
to call about him he had already been adopted. I then decided to go to
petfinder.com and this is where I found Alani and Blaze (formerly knows as
Tanami and Sahara). I was only looking for one young orange male kitten,
but I did inquire about both of them.
The next morning I received an e-mail from a lady in the rescue group with
her phone number. I called her and she told me that they were both still
available but since they were very bonded they needed to be adopted
together. I was fine with that since I was used to having six cats. How
could I leave one of the brothers behind? I adopted them the next day and
they were about eleven weeks old.
Even though they've been double trouble at times, it's all been worth it
because they have such wonderful personalities. Alani has to have his
daily hugs and he'll make air biscuits while I'm holding him. He's my
gentle giant at a little over twelve pounds and he usually makes what I call
silent meows to me. Blaze has a loud motor and he'll chirp and squeak to
me. He's more of a goofball and very fearless. They're both lap cats and
very loving. I know that my RB Sunny had a paw in sending them to me.
They're going to keep me entertained for many years to come.
